More than a year and a half ago, I first got excited about a print magazine that was going to debut just for us - Search Marketing Standard. Several editions later, I wanted to celebrate this great little magazine by following its lead. In this last edition (Fall 2007), SMS published a crossword puzzle near the back of the magazine. I thought it would be fun to emulate this, so I created a crossword puzzle that uses words and phrases pulled directly from the last 3 editions of SMS. You can probably guess at some of them, but others might require that you actually have the magazine in front of you. If you haven't been a subscriber to the magazine since at least the Spring 2007 edition, you might not be able to get all of the answers right.
Click on this link to print out the puzzle. If you successfully complete it, and you are the first to prove it to me, you win! What do you win? Fame and Fortune? Well, fame maybe. There's no prize to go with this, just a little glory as you get to strut around for being the first to solve it.
When you think you've completed it successfully, email me at scoop@seo-scoop.com and let me know what your answers are. You can either scan it and send a pic, or type the answers in the email. Either way, if you're the first with all the right answers, I'll make sure everyone knows you are the champ.
If you haven't yet subscribed to the magazine, you should consider doing so. It seems to get better and better with each printing. I get all excited when I find it in my post office box, and I rush to get home so I can read it. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg, so go subscribe now.
Thanks SMS (Search Marketing Standard) for producing such a quality publication. I love it.
(Oh, and if you don't try to solve the puzzle, then you're nothin' but a yella-bellied, scaredy-cat, chicken!)
Dear Donna,
Thank you very much for your kind words and for doing the crossword.
To make things a bit more interesting, we’d like to offer a free 3-year subscription to the magazine (U.S. or International) to whoever completes this first and emails me the answers.
Good luck!

Woot! All right then! This makes it interesting! 🙂 Thanks, Boris.
Can I participate or would that be considered cheating 😉
And why in the world does Boris’ avatar have my face on it???
I think we might have to assume that would be cheating. 🙂
Both you and Boris link to the same url, and MyBlogLog assumes that’s you, so it shows your pic. Tell Boris to get his own url. 😉
hehehehe…
I’ll have a go at this a bit later…
I got my latest copy on saturday 🙂
