Anyone who has known me for a while knows what a cheapskate I am. I just hate spending money unless I am absolutely positive it is worth it. Every now and then, however, curiosity gets the better of me, and yesterday was one of those days. I just HAD to check out SEOmoz's The Professional's Guide to Link Building report.
So, was it worth it? Well, it's definitely an excellent guide, and pretty much covers it all. I can't say that there was any "secret, really cool stuff" in it that I didn't already know, but it was a well-organized, well-presented guide to link building. Certainly, every newbie and intermediate SEO should check under their couch covers to come up with enough dough ($29) to buy it. Old timers can probably forgo the purchase; however, it never hurts to have a sort of "checklist" sitting around, just in case old timer's memory loss has kicked in. No doubt, there are items listed that may not be new knowledge, but has perhaps been forgotten along the way.
I don't regret spending the $29, if only because it assured me that Rand and his gang hadn't released something that I was the last to know about. 🙂
Conclusion: Well worth the price, especially for beginners and intermediate link builders.
