This is one of a series of posts in which I will be highlighting each member of the Search Bloggers list, with commentary on one of their posts (new or old). Look for this series to continue once or twice a week for the next couple of months.
Meet Paige Filler, the Search Blogger of the Day. Today I'd like to highlight a post called del.icio.us vs delicious.com, in which Paige is keeping track of "what happens to a site with hundreds of thousands of indexed pages when it is redirected to a new domain." It's a quickie-type post, but I think it would be fun if several people joined in and tracked this over time. We could all leave the current numbers in a comment on the post, and over time, it might be quite eye-opening. Just a thought...go check out the post and see what you think.
If you want to know more about today's Search Blogger of the Day, check out Paige's about page.
That's the Search Blogger of the Day. If you are a search blogger, and aren't on the list yet, go here to find out how to be included. I plan to promote everyone on the list in various ways. Some will be informative, and some will be just plain fun. Don't miss out.
Thanks for the bio!
It would appear there are only 8 pages of del.icio.us left to be redirected, and about 150k from delicious.com have been indexed. Not much of a game left to play I guess, however if google has only indexed 150K pages, that means there are another missing 100k listings. Although the page numbers in the top right (of google) are estimates…100k is a lot.
Thanks again for introducing us to so many fabulous writers Donna!
