I have a friend whose site niche is mortgages, and all things related to mortgages. I personally don't have any sites within that niche or anything related to that niche, so when I was first approached about a sponsored post for a new revenue stream for publishers that involved insurance, mortgages, etc., my first inclination was to turn it down. However, I decided to accept it after all for two reasons.
1. It could help my friend and others like him, who do service these niches.
2. I like the concept and would like to see it evolve into other niches.
So here it is. SureHits Ad Network provides publishers with a revenue stream directed at the following markets:
Auto insurance, health insurance, home insurance, life insurance, motorcycle insurance, small business insurance, home purchase, refinance, home equity, and auto finance.
Publishers put a widget on their site that allows users to select a product and state from drop down menus and then are presented with a list of companies that match the criteria. Publishers then earn CPC revenue when users click through to one of the companies listed.
If I owned a mortgage related site, then, it would make sense for me to place a home insurance widget on the site, giving my users something useful, and putting some cash in my pocket.
SureHits claims that it "tells all publishers exactly what their revenue share will be and puts that number in writing." That's definitely a nice change of pace from some other CPC programs we are all familiar with.
Does the program work? Can good money be made? I don't know. But I like the concept and would like to see more of these kinds of widgets made available in lots of niches. For now, if you have a site in any of the above niches, SureHits might be a good thing to try.
