I wonder if Danny Sullivan is taking the same pain pills that I am. His Love/Hate Google posts remind me of my Google : Googol : Omnipresent : Ubiquitous : Omnipotent post that I made late last night.
The first paragraph of his 25 Things I Hate About Google article could easily have been written by me last night. He says "Google's purchase of Writely sort of drove me over the edge last week. When I saw the news confirmed, I exclaimed out loud to myself, "Oh, give me a break." A break from what, freakishly talking to myself? No, a break from Google going in yet another direction when there is so much stuff they haven't finished, gotten right or need to fix."
Of course, his 25 Things I Love About Google article sounds much less like my painpill-induced fog.
Maybe it wasn't the pain pills after all. Maybe it is just the right time for everyone to stop and tell Google how they feel about everything they are doing. I did just that last night - although it was a rather rambling kind of post. Danny Sullivan did it today. What about you?
