Yesterday, I made a very off-topic post about an issue that I feel strongly about - E85, or ethanol. In one of the comments, Jason made a suggestion that I thought was brilliant. I'd like to start a Google-bombing campaign where we link terms such as "oil" and "gas" to E85 sites. If you find it in your heart to join me in this, please let me know, and I'll be happy to compile a list of those who participate (with links to your sites, of course). Thanks, Jason, for the great idea.
ADDED: Jason mentioned that we should link to www.e85fuel.com, the top Google result for e85. I like that idea. So, this campaign is so amended. 🙂
ADDED: To make it easy to participate, you might want to consider adding this code to your site.
<div style="border: 3px solid #cccccc; background-color: #f0f8ff; padding: 5px; width:120px; font-family:Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,sans-serif; font-size:0.8em; ">
Proponent of the E85 Campaign to reduce our dependence on imported <a href="https://www.e85fuel.com">oil</a> and <a href="https://www.e85fuel.com">gas</a>, help our farmers, and clean up our environment. You can help by linking the words <b>oil</b> and <b>gas</b> to www.e85fuel.com.
</div>
which will look something like this: (change the fonts, colors, etc. as you wish)
