Last week Google announced they updated a newly designed version of AdWords Editor. So what's new and different you ask? Well, it's faster and more efficient for users to manage their AdWords account, which is huge for marketers or agencies that manage multiple accounts.
Below are 3 quick takeaways of some of the new features:
1. Bulk Editing & Shared Library
A new type list (located on left sidebar) is an improved designed feature to make it easier to find what you're looking for within your accounts (Keywords, Ad Groups, Ads & Campaigns). The new Shared Library in AdWords Editor now includes shared bidding strategies and shared sitelinks across multiple campaigns & ad groups.
The "Make Multiple Changes" tool organizes your text into rows and columns so that you can add, update, or remove multiple items in bulk.
2. Open Multiple Windows
AdWords Editor 11.0 now features pop-out windows.
Instead of having to jump from campaign tab to campaign tab and from account to account, you can now open multiple windows simultaneously. Pop-out windows allow you to view different parts of your account (i.e. campaigns and ad groups) at the same time. This includes dragging & dropping or copy/pasting from one account window into another, even into other MCC accounts. A huge bonus for productivity!
3. Advanced Search Bar
If you're looking for anything specific, using the improved, advanced search bar allows you to set up filters to refine your search. Advanced search now allows you to apply multiple search criteria to your search.
A nice feature now includes the option of being able to save popular searches for future use.
Any previous versions of Adwords Editor will continue until April 10, 2015. After which all accounts will migrate to version 11.0. The current rollout is available worldwide to all AdWords Editor users, on both PC and Mac.
